2011-2012 School Year

June 3, 2012

Dear Committee Members,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the very generous Silent Warrior Scholarship I was awarded; it enabled me to attend the Unified Auditions in Chicago, Illinois in February of 2012.

The artistic auditions were part of my application process to 17 universities. The separate auditions included singing, acting, dancing and interviews. The $500 scholarship from the Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund helped pay for audition fees, transportation from Oregon and accommodations in Chicago.

I am happy to report that I was artistically accepted into 10 programs through these auditions, including my top choice, Otterbein University! Otterbein is an amazing university in Westerville, Ohio, and they have a highly regarded and prestigious program. I am honored and humbled to write that I was one of four girls selected out of hundreds that they auditioned. Your scholarship award made my dream school a reality, and I couldn’t have done it without your help.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I am very proud of my dad’s service in the Marine Corps and Force Recon, and through his sacrifice, and the Scholarship Committee’s generosity, I am tickled to be heading to Westerville in August!

 Sincerely yours,

KW

Good Afternoon Sir,

Thank you so much for allowing me to be one of your choices for the Silent Warrior Scholarship. This funding will be put to very good use. Most of it will go towards the purchase of my required books. I really do appreciate your assistance in helping me with the start of my college career. If you need anything from me or find that there is something that I could do for you or your organization, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Once again, thank you very much.

Respectfully, AB
